What are the basic crystal oscillator types?
Release time:2025/3/26 14:25:03
Crystal oscillator is the most common electronic component, about the type of crystal oscillator, there are many, below, Xiaobian will introduce several basic types for you!
1. Simple crystal oscillator
This is the basic type, and the stability it has depends on the characteristics of the crystal resonator itself. A higher frequency crystal in the MHz range, made of quartz rods, should be able to achieve a relatively stable frequency at ambient temperatures between -55 ° C and +125 ° C (-67°F and +257°F). In this way, even in a relatively wide temperature range, the stability of ± 25ppm can be achieved by cutting the quartz crystal.
2, temperature compensation crystal vibration
If the natural frequency and the temperature stability of the quartz crystal cannot meet the application requirements, the temperature compensation unit can be used. This type of crystal oscillator uses the temperature sensing device and the circuit that generates the voltage curve, so that within a certain temperature range, the voltage curve is completely opposite to the frequency change trend of the crystal, so that the crystal drift can be well offset.
3, constant temperature control crystal vibration
For some electronic devices with special requirements, it is necessary to use thermostatically controlled crystal oscillators. As can be seen from the name, this type of crystal oscillator uses the oscillator of the baking chamber to heat the crystal to a higher temperature, which is controlled so that the temperature of the crystal will remain stable even though the ambient temperature may vary greatly.
